I haven't tried a straight forward portrait in quite a while, so this was a bit of a struggle and I don't think I'm entirely happy with the results. At least now I have a drawing of my son to give to the grandparents. Win-win, I say! If my work schedule allows, I plan to post more portraits every once in a while.

unicycle t shirt

I really wasn't liking the terrible foreshortening on the female rider, so I changed her pose a bit and I think it was for the best. I also tried to soften her smile a bit and make her face a little less "Boy-ish". I hope I managed...

A guy from a unicycle club in Italy got in touch with me and wanted me to do a drawing for some t-shirts. Here's the first draft.

Man, another sketchbook pro image...

Resident Evil 4 is by far one of my most favourite, most replayed video games. I can't get enough of those wacky Zombie-like critters, oh what hi jinx!

I went for more of a comic book look for this one, but a problem I had was zooming in for the details while inking and not really paying attention the the whole image, thus leading to the complete lack of consistent light and shadow you see before you. Oh well, live and learn... and shoot zombies.

I do intend to work some colour and ground shadows into this at some point, but for now I just have to leave it alone.

After going back to the store I discovered that yes... I guess I do like games that much.

I went out to buy a PS3 game and when I saw the price, I decided I didn't like video games that much.
